Today we are talking about what it means to be intuitive. If you are intuitive, does that mean you are psychic? I prefer not to use the term psychic – it’s surrounded in mystery, misunderstanding, and comes associated with preconceived notions.
In fact, I refer to myself as an Intuitive Expert. And, I do this professionally.
I use this analogy often; we all have the ability to toss a basketball. Yet, this doesn’t mean because we have the skill, we are meant to join the NBA and become professionals. We can use basketball as a hobby, for exercise, or a social outlet.
It’s the same with your intuition. It’s innate, we all have it and we all benefit from accessing it. This doesn’t mean everyone that uses their intuition is destined to become a professional Psychic. It couldn’t be further from the truth.
When you mention your intuition or being intuitive, to others, you’re may likely to get these questions:
- Can you tell me what I’m thinking?
- Do you know what’s going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month?
- Can you tell me what’s going to happen with XXX?
In reality, strengthening and using your intuition doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with predicting the future (I talk a lot about this in my intuitive development course) or reading minds.
Intuition is accessed when you want and need it. It’s an intentional practice to support decision-making, reaching clarity and moving towards the path for your best interest.
It’s learning how to listen – to grow the connection with your inner self. Everyone benefit’s from accessing and trusting their intuitive intelligence, it puts us in the flow state – where we naturally step into heightened states of creativity, innovation and success. Our intuition also serves as a guiding force for everyday needs – what phone to purchase, best time to travel, wait on a better deal and what your kids needs and so much more.
