Today we are talking about the Intuitive Senses.

You already know about your five basic senses: Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste and Touch. This is how we experience the world around us. Our basic senses receive information and it’s sent to our brain to decode and interpret. Right, we use these all day long without any conscious thought.

But there are a second set of senses that you’ve always had, but you may not be accessing. Meet your intuitive senses. (Maybe you’ve heard this referred to as your “sixth senses” – but please don’t let that 1999 Bruce Willis movie precondition you to what they are!)

The intuitive senses are made up of eight supporting sensitivities, that also perceive information. Yet, we either haven’t strengthened them, ignored them or haven’t trained ourselves to pay attention to them which is why tend not to play a part in our lives.

Here’s a brief overview.

Clairvoyance is receiving mental pictures, symbols, or impressions using your third eye.

Claircognizance is knowing something is true – without hearing, feeling or seeing it. It’s one of the most difficult to trust, yet it’s the most accurate.

Clairaudience is perceiving secondary and unseen sounds. You really are hearing things, you are not going crazy as some may think.

Clairsentience is experiencing a temporary physical sensation in your body.

Clairempathy is common for many people. As an empath you sense other’s emotions and thoughts.

These get less publicity…

Clairtangency is perceiving energy or information by touching an object.

If you are Clairsalient, you receive insights through fragrances that are not within your environment.

And lastly, is Clairgustance. Experiencing a taste in your mouth not associated with drinking or eating.

Our strongest sense(s) will be the one(s) that come to us the most naturally.

By training your intuitive senses, increasing their sensitivities and discerning how to listen – which all of this can be practiced and learned – is the secret sauce of using your intuition.
