If you’ve ever talked about intuition, read about intuition, or heard of intuition, you’ve probably heard the phrase “growing through intuition.” But growth can mean so many things – especially personal growth – and it looks different for everyone.
So when I say “growth through intuition”, what does that really mean? And more importantly, what does that look like?
A Growth Mindset
Personal growth starts with your mindset. Connecting with your intuition is the quickest route to understanding what will best serve you and your soul, rather than what the external factors around you like your friends, family, and career desire. When you’re tuned into your intuition, you are more aware of how your decisions affect you holistically, shifting your awareness to moving you forward rather than leaving you stuck.
Trust in Yourself
With trust in yourself, anything is possible. You have to have the confidence to know that your gut feelings and instincts are some of the most important insights. Your intuition – and your understanding and trust in it – is the gateway to reaching undeniable self-trust. You begin to recognize your intuitive insights, rather than suppressing it or writing it off – to know when your inner wisdom is guiding you in the direction that serves you best.
Creative Growth
Did you know that your intuitive senses directly correlate to your creativity? It’s the infamous right brain – left brain scenario, where our left brain is where our creativity and inner reasoning lives, while our right brain is more focused on analytical thought. While your right brain is powerful, make no mistake about it, our analytical mind is focused on searching for external proof. Your intuitive senses live in your left brain – the creative side – which is more directly connected to your inner self and goes beyond conscious reasoning. This is the same side of your brain the fuels your creativity. As you strengthen your intuitive sense, the strength of your creativity grows in tandem.
BD: Growing creativity is being the flow, or what many call, Zone of Genius. Pausing the right brain who’s looking for logic, data, analyzing if “this will work.” When you are open to whatever comes, is when you have the a-ha moments.
When I guide companies on improving creativity, we turn the typical brainstorm approach upside down. Looking for “the answer” on the spot puts pressure on ourselves and actually shuts down the flow state. By giving yourself space to think, to look at things thru the lens of curiosity rather than, the solution – is where our intuition supports higher levels of creativity and innovation.
Being Content with Your Purpose
What’s my purpose? That’s one of the deepest questions we all ask ourselves. Discovering your true purpose is our soul’s journey. Trying to discover your true purpose goes hand in hand with a strong connection with yourself. Becoming clear with the choices you make in your daily life is the first step to living in alignment with your purpose. Without the connection to our intuition, we look to outside sources for validation. That makes it awfully hard to be content with them. By using your intuition to develop clarity in your choices, you reach a level of ease and peace with them because you know, beyond a doubt, they were the right decisions for you.
Know Yourself at a Higher Level
As an intuitive teacher, I describe the work that I do as helping others connect to their authentic selves through their intuition. Your intuition is your greatest tool for establishing a deep and meaningful connection with your soul. When you’re in touch with your deepest self, you naturally are in tune with what you to be fulfilled. That means:
- Setting healthy boundaries within your relationships
- Knowing when situations feel uncomfortable or discontent
- Shifting unhealthy behavior patterns and habits
- Improving your mental and physical health (when you fix yourself on the inside, you fix yourself on the outside!
